There are tons of outdoor activities on Oak Island including: kayaking, boating, fishing, nature walks, parks, outdoor vendor events, sunbathing, biking and more! Oak Island is dog friendly and you can have a bonfire during the cooler months! Oak Island is unquie compared to the other Brunswick Islands with two bridges to access the island and grocery stores on the island. There is everything you need on the island!
Oak Island is a tourist destination, with this comes more traffic in the summer months. These summer months also bring humidity. The hottest months are July and August. September is my favorite time to be at the beach, it is a great temperature and most of the tourist are gone!
